Child tax credit and working tax credit

Post by entrepreneur123 » Thu Apr 26, 2018 1:10 pm

hi,
I am on ILR and my wife is on spouse visa(FLR-M), can we apply for child tax credit and working tax credit? will it affect my wife visa extension? as she is not allowed to take public benefits.

many thanks

You can claim if you qualify but it MUST be claimed in JOINT names and all household income will be taken into account.

What happens if the person applies only himself without mentioning his wife?

1. You should start or post in your own topic instead of tagging onto another members thread.

2. Not declaring spouse and claiming tax credits as a single person is benefit fraud as you would not really be a 'single parent'.
