Tier 2 visa and resident permit in Italy compatible?

Hi. I currently hold a tier 2 dependant visa in the UK. I'm thinking about going to Italy to request my Italian citizenship. In the case it takes more than 3 months I would need to request a resident permit (permiso di soggiorno). In that case would I lose my tier 2 visa or have any problem with my UK residency?

A tier 2 dependent visa (or any visa) has nothing to do with and no relevance to European permits or visas.
