ILR application - supporting documents for PBS Dependants

Post by kris1980 » Tue Mar 20, 2018 10:29 am

Hi,
I am applying for ILR (PBS dependent 5 years route) this May.

Could you please confirm which certificates are required from NARIC? There are two: 1) English Language Assessment and 2) Statement of Comparability service

I was under the assumption that "English Language Assessment" should be enough. Could someone please confirm ?

Thanks a lot
Kris

You require both, the UKVI Red Route NARIC, costs £150.

The form Set(O) clearly states you need comparable and ELA.

Hi Kris,

I applied for NARIC for my wife couple of weeks back. You need to use the Red Route mentioned in their website. It is specific to UKVI. It gives both english language assessment and statement of comparability.

I spoke to UKNARIC and they mentioned all UK VISA applicants should use Red route which costs £150 ( + postal charges).

thanks a lot for the prompt reply.

I have already applied for the English language assessment certificate. I can apply separately for the comparability certificate as well, and add both of them to my application

Or, do you suggest I go through the red rout and get a single certificate for both of them? Not sure, if home office will accept both the routes (red and blue)

Thanks
Kris

This one or do the English B1 test which costs the same as NARIC.

Which Category in SET-O form for PBS Dependant?

Post by kris1980 » Tue May 01, 2018 11:46 am

Hi,
I am applying for my ILR as PBS Dependant (5 year route).

In Section 3, I have to select the category. But, both in Section A and B, there is no category as PBS Dependant.

Section A:
Tier 1 (General) migrant
Tier 1 (Entrepreneur) migrant
Tier 1 (Entrepreneur) migrant accelerated Tier 1 (Investor) migrant
Tier 1 (Investor) migrant accelerated
Tier 1 (Exceptional Talent)

Section B:
Tier 1 (General)
Tier 2 migrant
UK ancestry
Bereaved partner
Tier 1 dependant
Tier 2 dependant
Other purposes or reasons not covered by other applications forms

Could you please suggest what should I select here? Or, should I leave it empty?

Thanks your help
Kris

Clearly it is EITHER "Tier 1 Dependent" OR "Tier 2 Dependent" in Section B - depending on which category your visa is for.

Thanks CR001, I should have stated this in my original post

My wife is on ILR, so I don't think I fit in either Tier 1 or Tier 2 dependent

Thanks

Helpful if you stated what route to ILR your wife took, which is what your PBS Dependent visa would have been based on?

Sorry, I was trying to edit my post, but it didn't allow

My wife was on Tier 2 work permit (and my dependent VISA was based on that) before getting her ILR.

Thanks

So you are applying for ILR as a Tier 2 General dependent and that is what you select.
