Baby with visa but no BPR card

Post by roseowens1 » Wed May 02, 2018 11:13 am

Hi, my partner and I (both Australian)have a tier 2 general visa and our newborn baby is being added as a dependent through the premium service centre next week as we need to travel imminently.

However The BPR card will not arrive on time for this travel so I am wondering if the confirmation of the visa decision being approved will be enough to allow her back into the UK or if there is another entry clearance application that I can make. Any thoughts and ideas very welcome and appreciated.

Can she come in for 90 days as a tourist?

No as entering as a tourist will invalidate/override her Tier 2 dependent visa. A person also cannot hold two visa simultaneously.

You need the BRP. The letter of approval is unlikely to be sufficient.
