T2G to FLR(M) to SET (LR) possible?

I am currently on a tier-2 general visa and i have been living in the U.K since 2009 with different visas legally. Currently my wife is in tier 2 dependant visa and she would soon be eligible to apply for an ILR based on long residence before me (as she has been living in the UK lawfully since 2008), however, I would not be eligible for ILR based on long residence till 2019. My question is if My wife( PBS Dependent) apply for the ILR (LR) now, will I be able to switch visa to FLR(M) (as my company about to shut down)?
If i can switch to FLR (M) visa:
1) this will reset my immigration clock to Zero?
2) do I have to be in this visa for 5more years to apply for set (LR)?
If not, am I eligible to apply for Set (LR) once I complete 10years in may 2019? Or what are the complications?
Assisting me on this would really be helpful.

It will reset to clock for ILR based on 5 years residence.

All visas count towards ILR based on 10 years long residence.

Hiii,
As I observed from this forum,I would like to take IELTS for UKVI (General Training) to Apply for FLR(M) switching from tier 2G.
1) IELTS General Training is also the right test to apply for FLR (M)? So that I can use this same test result for settlement visa next year when completing 10 year long Resident.
2)If so,CEFR B1 is fine for both FLR(M) partner visa and SET (LR) Visa?
If not,
Life skill test A1 or A2 needs to be taken for FLR(M) Specifically?
