Dependant of ILR who has naturalized

Post by waqarali22k2 » Thu May 03, 2018 4:30 pm

Hi, I have just changed my status from ILR to citizen. My spouse is on ILR dependant visa valid till 2019. Since I am no longer an ILR, does this mean that my spouse's dependant visa is now invalid? Does she have to apply to switch to dependant of citizen? Or can she continue to stay on the ILR dependant visa (even though I am no longer on ILR and have returned the ILR BRP to the Home Office)? I am confused as there is no information regarding this on the Home Office website. We were thinking of going for a foreign holiday and are not sure if she will be allowed back in on the existing ILR depedant visa. Any help/advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

No
Does she have to apply to switch to dependant of citizen?
No. ILR dependent and Dependent of Citizen is the SAME visa, i.e. Spouse Settlement visa.
Char (CR001 not Casa)
