I am in Cambridge, UK for last 7 months and holding a Visa Exempt Vignette (Exempt International Organization Gratis). My elder sister lives in India and she has not been working for quite a long time so she does not have any financial or employment history in India. She is also legally divorced. In fact, I have been supporting her with all sorts of financial needs since very long.
She applied for a visitor's visa to stay with me for a couple of months in UK but got the refusal saying that she does not seem to be a genuine visitor and does not have any reason to go back to India and also cannot afford her expenses for this visit.
We have submitted the following documents:-
-Her Passport
-Invite letter from Me (acknowledging that I have bear all the expenses for her visit and stay in UK)
-Return tickets
-My Passport
-My Visa Exempt Vigentte
-My FCO ID Card issued by Foreign and Commonwealth Office
-My Appointment letter
-No objection letter from my employer in UK
-My UK Rent agreement (with permission from the landlord to have a long term guest)
-My Leave travel approval (as I had planned to travel with her for both sides of travel)
-My UK Bank statement
-My Salary slips
-Bank statement of my sister (showing long term financial support from me)
-Last 4 years rent agreements showing my sister's name on it
-Death certificate of Mother
-Death certificate of Father
-Parental property papers of residential and agriculture lands
-Judgement of her divorce
-Some ID and address proofs of our relatives in India like cousins and nephews
-Her National I-card
-Her matric certificate
-Her Degree of graduation
were all these documents not enough to support the Visa application and prove to be a genuine visitor.
Thanks
