FLR (M).visa...cancel postal and apply in person

Just as title reads I would like to cancel my postal flr m visa and apply in person.

Can this be done when my visa is technically expired? Or am I stuck waiting?

Submitted application on 22/2/2018 amd sent documents on 23/2/2018, received confirmation of receipt on 28/2/2018. Biometrics on 3/3/2018.

12 weeks waiting and I'm feeling so trapped. I need to visit my mother back home as she's unwell and it's brutal not to be able to. I can see from the timeline that others who applied after me have got their applicatios back...I didn't even realise they didn't work cases in order. My file wasn't large and was very well organised too...just don't get it.

Have got MP involved but even they haven't been able to get feedback yet.

You will have to wait. FLR(M) is not one that can be 'upgraded' to premium service.

If you cancel your visa application, you likely lose the fee and your section 3C protection will end which means you will be an overstayer and also won't be allowed to work. Unlikely you would get an in person appointment in the next week or two and in person also does not guarantee you get a decision on the day either.

I had checked the timeline, its what got me worried. Seems to still be at 6-8 weeks for most applications.
There's people who applied in March, a full 2 weeks after I did, who have received their BRPs.
