English test for ILR

Post by GailF » Sat May 12, 2018 5:31 pm

Hi all

Hubby will be doing his ILR application next year and I have heard that many people have had to redo their English tests as the rules have changed. He did his through IELTS in South Africa in 2013 and we used it again for FLR in 2015 with no issues. I see he needs it to be a B1 certificate for ILR but how do I figure out if it is?

Thanks in advance!

He needs B1 for ILR and the only time an expired test can be used is if it is at the required level, was used for a previous app AND is still on the HOs current list of approved test provider.

Likely simpler to do a new test.
