Tier 2 Dependent Job offer from Belgium

Post by rajtargotra » Mon May 14, 2018 12:45 pm

Hi

I'm currently on Tier 2 Dependent visa and working in the UK since last two years. My current visa will be extending in 2019 for another 3 years and after that I will be applying for ILR in 2021.

Now, after working nearly 2 years in the UK, I'm getting a full time permanent job offer from Belgium and they are happy to sponsor me Belgium work permit. I wish to take this opportunity and work for Belgium company. I need your expert guidance before finally I make my mind.

Since I still need 3 more years to count towards my ILR in the UK, is that possible I can live and work in Belgium and come to the UK on the weekends. Being a PBS Dependent, will I be exempted from 180 days continuous leave rule from the UK.

Can I still be eligible for ILR even working for Belguim company.

I understand that my questions may be are some irrelevant but I would highly appreciate if you shed some guidance about your thoughts.

Thanks
Raj

No, you won't qualify for ILR as you are not resident in the UK and your absence will exceed the 180 days in any 12 month period.

No.
