Tier1(General) PBS dependent ILR

Post by sri1977 » Mon May 14, 2018 3:14 pm

Good Afternoon,

I need few clarifications needed from you regarding ILR application for my dependents as I am confused on which forms to use.

Following are the details of my case:

I came to UK in February 2011 on Tier1(General) visa valid for 2yrs, I got an Extension in 2013 (for 3 yrs), then eventually got my ILR based on Tier1(General) in Jan 2016.

My Dependents( Wife and 2 children) came to UK in February 2013 with PBS Dependent Visa (Tier1(General) dependent), then they got another extension in January 2016 after I got my ILR, however they got Extension as PBS Dependent (Tier1(General) dependent) till January 2019.

Now as they completed 5Yrs in UK in the same category of (Tier1(General) dependent) in February 2018, I am now planning to apply for ILR for my Dependents ( Wife and 2 Children aged 8 and 11 yrs).

I am bit confused on which form to use for the dependents ILR application.

Regards,
Sri

Could you please provide what supporting documents needed for Dependent ILR for My Dependents( Wife and 2 children) as mentioned in the original post in this thread.
I already have ILR and now I am only applying for my Wife and children and my wife is not working.

Apart from Life In UK, English Language Certificate and 3 Years Cohabitation proofs, what else should I provide as supporting documentation? I am an IT contractor and my wife is not working. Do I need to provide any Financial support documentation? If yes what do I need to provide?

Regards,
Sri

I have provided you a link to a successful dependent ILR post in the timelines. Have you looked at or done any research on the forum?

Thanks for you reply, I have gone through the thread provided, but could not find any info on the supporting documents for ILR Dependent where Main applicant has already got ILR and Main applicant is an IT contractor with Limited Company and wife is not working.

Could you please suggest?

Regards,
Sri

Your spouse is a PBS Dependent, NOT an ILR dependent which is a completely different visa category. You are NOT the main applicant, your spouse is. There is no 'financial requirement' for PBS Dependent applying for ILR. You simply need to provide bank statements and payslips for at least 3 months to prove you can maintain yourself without public funds.

The links below also has a list of documents and OP had success.

Thanks for clarifying that. When you say "You simply need to provide bank statements and payslips for at least 3 months to prove you can maintain yourself without public funds.", since my wife is not working, if I provide my Salary slips, Dividend Vouchers, Bank Statements ( for last 3 months) and Accountant letter , would that be enough in proving my dependents (wife and 2 kids) maintenance without recourse to public funds ? Hope I don't need to maintain any minimum funds in my Bank account.

Regards,
Sri

Yes, docs are fine.

You DO NOT need to have 'maintained funds for 90 days'!!
