Fiancee visa travel date more than 3 months

Post by boyfarrell » Wed May 16, 2018 12:17 pm

Hello,

We have applied for a fiancee visa and the visa4uk website allowed us to select a travel date 6 months after the submission date (more than 3 months in the future), we submitted, paid and booked an appointment (in 3 weeks from now).

* Will UKIV reject the application based on this date?

* Has anyone set a 6 month date and been successful?

You can only apply for a visa post dated by 3 months. UKVI might ignore your travel date request that is so far in the future.

Why have you done this though? Why not wait till nearer the time to apply?

We did this because the website allowed it and it worked well with other considerations. If the website did not allow it we would not have done it and changed our plans accordingly.

Do you think it is safe to continue? Or is this a rejection?

I don't know if anyone has posted here before with this as a reason for rejection? I could not find with the search.
