Resiliancy plan whilst applying for Tier 2 Visa

Post by onez85 » Thu May 17, 2018 11:42 am

Hi all,

Been following this board for a while and I am also in a position where I am uncertain as to whether I will get approval for a tier two visa (currently on 41pts, first time applying in June) .

So, during this time I need to have a resiliency plan for the next 2-3 months whilst I wait for approval. As I can't work whilst I wait for my Visa I will be ceasing my current employment. If I could have assistance on the following questions that'd be greatly appreciated.

1.
What is the stance on leaving the country and coming back in on a tourist visa whilst I wait for my CoS? I have heard I can come back in for 6 months?

2.
If I were to leave the country to live and work somewhere else in Europe could I enter and leave the country on a weekly basis for 'business purposes'? (I have a band which I have based in London)

3.
Would there be any implication for me if I was to run an online business whilst staying in the UK on a tourist visa?

Thanks for your help.

Matt

What is your current visa status?

How long have you been in the UK?

You are not permitted to do any form of employment on a tourist visa, this includes online, paid, unpaid, voluntary.

Your 'business purposes' and 'band', do you perform for a fee??

Thanks for your response.

My current visa is a tier 5 youth mobility and I will have been in the UK 2 years from June.

Whilst the band may get a small cut of door sales etc, I do not personally make any money from the band.

Cheers

You would have difficulty in convincing the IO that you are in fact a genuine visitor when you have spent the last two years living in the UK.

Do you have a work permit for any of the EU countries??
