Tier 2 to ILR query

Post by bpp » Thu May 17, 2018 3:35 pm

Hi,

Me and my wife are in tier 2 visa and it expires on June 2019. I (Principal applicant) will be eligible for ILR on July this year 2018 (5 years completes) and my wife who joined me three months later will be eligible on OCT 2018. So my question is should I apply together when my wife completes her 5 years or can I apply alone and she can do when she reaches 5 years. Any recommendation please.

Either way. It makes no difference if you apply together or separately. Each person applying must meet the requirements.

as CR001 mentioned there's no difference but I'd apply together as U won't need to do all that paperwork twice (at least part of it) also it's easier IMHO when U're going with family then separately
