Apply for a fiancée visa, settlement, settlement, marriage.
In the section spouse/partner they ask,
1. What is your marital status?
(My fiancee is single and never been married)
The options are:
Single
Married / Civil Partner
Unmarried Partner
Fiancée / Proposed Civil Partner
Divorced / Dissolved Partnership
Separated
Widowed / Surviving Civil Partner
Which are acceptable in our case? I called the UKIV helpful they suggested I use “Fiancée” option, but I hear people also put “single” here. What do you recommend?
In the sponsor details section they ask,
2. What is their relationship to you?
I am the sponsor and my relationship is that I am her fiancé, prior to that her boyfriend. How can I express that?
The options are,
Aunt
Brother
Cousin
Daughter
Father
Friend
Grand Parent
Mother
Nephew
Niece
Partner
Sister
Son
Spouse
Uncle
Work Colleague
Other Relative
I called UKIV, they recommend I use the “Other relative” option and state in the additional information section that the relationship to the sponsor is that of being the fiancé.
What do you recommend here?
There are no guidance notes which define these terms, so it’s hard to know what they expect.
