British Spouse Visa

Hello All,
I'm planning to apply for a British spouse visa for my wife. I would like to know if it is necessary to submit her employment related supporting documents for the application. She is currently employed for a public sector bank and we are confused whether we have to provide any of her employment related evidences to support the application.

Please help if someone has done this sort of thing earlier.

Assuming she is outside the UK, her employment and income is irrelevant to a spouse visa application, so no, they do not have to be provided.

Yes she is currently working in India but her plan is to go after few months and give her resignation after using her paid vacation.

Is there a requirement to add info in the covering letter?

And also we have tried to apply for a fiance visit twice visa but it was refused. So is there an impact on this applications because of visit refusals.

What were the reasons for refusal twice??

On the first instant it was because of her employer not providing a proper approval letter and her bank statement showing a deposit that was queried and we have explained in the next application.

On the second instant they queried around the evidences of our relationship and I'm being a British citizen they doubt the intentions of her travel. And also we have mentioned about her career moves in India after the visit but they were still not convinced.

I'm therefore not satisfied that you are genuinely seeking as a visitor and leave the UK at the end of your visit and your application is refused under Appendix V4.2(a)(c) of immigration rules.

And now we are married and I want to apply for the spouse visa but I'm bit worried if the employment related aspects come into the lime light because we have told about this when we planned the visit.

Ok, you applied for a standard visit visa and she didn't meet the requirements. There is no 'fiance visit visa' category.

A refused visit visa will have no impact on a spouse visa unless false documents were used or HO suspects there could be deception.

Her employment and income documents are still irrelevant to a spouse visa application.

Apologies one more question in the application guide there is a mention about the Evidence of your current employment for the applicant. Can you please tell me if this something to with the sponsor or the applicant.

This could include:
 a letter from your employer on company headed paper – detailing your
salary and the length of your employment, confirming that you have been given
time off work, and stating whether this time off is paid or unpaid
