Family Visa Extension for Wife and Daughter

Post by irfan83 » Tue May 29, 2018 10:22 am

Hi,
Very confused after reading different opinions on the forum!

I am a British citizen and my wife & Daughter (From Pakistan) joined me in the UK on 5th May 2016. Wife's visa validity 19/04/2016 to 03/02/19 (2 years 9 months and 17 days), Daughter's 21/03/2016 to 21/12/2018 (2 years and 9 months).
1st application from Pakistan was submitted together but still they have different validity and expiry date.

My Questions are;

1- Shall we submit the application separately (Have to generate 2 set of supporting documents) OR together (in that case my wife,s visa will have more than 28 days of expiry)

Some of the posts on the forum suggests to apply just after the completion of 2 years and 6 months ?

2- At the time of my daughter was born outside the UK i was not a British citizen so she was not eligible for the British citizenship. I have been a British Citizen before she entered in the UK and She has been living in the UK for continuous 2 years. Is she eligible for for British Citizenship yet Or still have to go through the visa route ?

3- Do we need to submit the same documents as we did the first time? i.e. Marriage Certificate, 6 months Bank Statements with pay slips, Tenancy agreement from sponsor including property report, Wife,s English Test, Proof of address (We have 1 utility bill in joint name and separate bank statements), will these be enough proof of addresses ?

Thanks in advance!

Together on one form shortly before childs' visa expires. Presumably the child's passport expires on the same date (which would be the only reason the visa expiry date would be different to your spouse)???

Correct.

No she is not. She will follow the same route as the other parent and will need ILR.

Yes but obviously up to date at the time of applying. Your wife will need English A2 for an extension. You must also provide documents proving cohabitation for the last 2 years in joint names or individual names at the same address.
