Curtailment Letter and further application

Please could you comment on this query below if possible:

One person got Curtailment letter along with the all the dependents. Now got new tier 2 job so he wants to apply for himself. Does the dependents have to apply as well if he gets the tier 2 visa as their leave also has curtailed?

What I think is if main applicant gets the tier 2 visa the dependents don't have to apply but can ask HO curtail team to reinstate their status as tier 2 dependents. I am not sure which one is correct if anybody can share their experience that would be a great help.

If all visas were curtailed, they will all have to apply again.
