Tier 2 general to ILR - spouse status after ILR approval

Post by NANDUGHANTA » Wed May 30, 2018 7:57 pm

Hi All

I will be eligible for ILR on 5 year sponsorship route this September. Can anyone confirm if my wife and daughter need to change to ILR dependant visas or they can continue on PBS dependant visas ? They want travel out of UK in November after I get my ILR. My wife will be eligible for ILR in JUNE 2019. Both my wife and daughter have for their current visas till Oct 2019.

I am just worried about the scenario when they travel out of country after I get my ILR and they will be still on dependant visa (tier 2) when they return to UK .

Please can someone advise

Kind regards
Nanda

No they DO NOT have to change visas. They can continue on their visas and extend if necessary till they qualify for ILR.

They can travel.
