Tier 2 General to ILR - Earliest window?

Post by plpradeep » Wed Jun 06, 2018 2:26 pm

Hi All,
Thank you for taking your time to look at my question.
I would like to know when is the earliest I can apply for ILR with same day service based on my visa dates below. I will take my LIFE IN THE UK test in July 2018. If I pass that test, how soon can I apply and book the same day appointment?

Post Study Work Visa period: Issued 21/12/2011 valid until 21/12/2013
First Tier 2 General Visa Period: Issued on 01/11/2013 valid until 20/10/2016
Extended Tier 2 General Period: Issued 17/11/2016 valid until 20/10/2019

Many thanks.

First Tier 2 General Visa Period: Issued on 01/11/2013 valid until 20/10/2016
No sooner than WITHIN 28 days before 1st November 2018, provided you meet all the requirements including the recently amended absence criteria.

Appointments are available to book 42 days in advance of the date you are looking for.

However, based on your previous posts, you hold a Tier 4 visa and not Tier 2??

Which means I can look for an appointment slot that is available from 4th October 2018 (28 days before 01/11/2018) and I can book this from 23rd of August 2018 (42 days before 04/10/2018) ?

Am i correct please?

Regarding previous posts, it was for my cousin. Apologies if that confused you.

Note that it does not have to be exactly on the 28th day before but WITHIN the 28 day period before 1st November. I cannot say whether appointments will be available as often there are glitches and appointments only show for 20 days in advance.

Note for future, if you post on behalf of someone else, useful to start a post by saying it is for someone else as most members check a posters past history to get an idea of a situation/circumstance.

Thanks. Is maintenance of funds required for ILR please? If so, please can you give me details?
