Is the question being asked now for someone else??

1. Tier 2 General is becoming increasing difficult to get an RCoS due to the high cutoff of points for non shortage occupation. So no one can advise on that route without know what the person does, if he can get a sponsor etc to estimate what his chances are.
2. He could apply for a spouse visa IF his British spouse meets the financial requirements of £18,600pa income or £62,500 held in savings for minimum 6 months.
Yep Tier 2 can be limiting - same visa ive been on for the past 4 years.CR001 wrote: ↑Fri Jun 08, 2018 8:28 amOn a spouse visa he would be permitted to work for anyone or do any type of work or not work at all if he chooses.
Tier 2 General he can only work for his sponsoring company. No contracting, no self employment etc. If he loses his job, his visa will be curtailed. He also has absence limits on tier 2 which doesn't apply to spouse visa.
