Disadvantages of fiancé visa

Post by arts99 » Thu Jun 14, 2018 2:12 pm

Some of the points that seem as main disadvantages of applying for a Fiance visa compared to a Spouse visa for coming to UK; please add or correct if wrong:

1. Time:
Takes longer to get settlement in UK; 6 months as time spent on fiancé visa does not count towards settlement.

2. Financial Costs:
  • a. Work not allowed while on fiancé visa
  • b. An additional set of quite high fees; based on current fee levels it could be: £1033
3. Number of applications:
Have to make three applications requiring detailed information and documentation.

Responses/discussion on this shall be helpful to many I believe!

Thank you

Yes to all of your questions with answers but it maybe advantageous for wealthy & unhurried partners.
The opinion expressed as above is neither a professional advice nor contesting/competing to other member's opinion/advice.
