ILR From Tier 2 (5 Years Category ) Month short

Post by memo26 » Sat Jun 16, 2018 1:26 pm

I have applied my tier 2 visa (5 Years route ) on 12 April 2014 (via post inside UK)
(cos start date -: 10 April 2014 , End Date 10 April 2019 )
due to the bio metric post delay, i got my visa issued from 15 May 2014 to 10 April 2019.
here i am nearly 35 days short for ILR .
Do i need to apply for another 1 year Tier 2 ?
which date i have to consider as start date ? application posted date? or issue date ? or COS start date ?

Start date for ILR residence calculation is the date your visa was issued.

Yes, you need to apply for a Tier 2 extension before your current visa expires.

28 days before 15 May 2019, you can then apply to vary your extension application to ILR (if you are applying by post) or go for another appointment (if applying at PEO)

What is the process of varying ? Is it different for applying for ILR using PEO vs Post ? Thank you so much !

Rules have changed, so now you can only vary by submitting a new application online

Thanks for prompt reply, love it !

So you mean we can't go for One day service anymore for ILR, can we use priority service or it will be normal ? Thanks again

Any reference would be great too
