Which Start date to be used for ILR application

Hello Friends,

My first Tier 2 General Visa stamped on 7th Nov 2013 where as I started my job on 11th Dec 2013. As I can apply for ILR 28days before my 5 years’ time, which date I need to consider to calculate my ILR timeline.

If that is WITHIN 28 days before, yes. Note that it does NOT have to be on EXACTLY 28 days before. One day out can result in a refusal for not meeting the requirements.

Few more question, if you don’t mind.

My wife joined me in Jan 2018 as PBS dependent. When I go for ILR on this October 2018, does she also need to apply for ILR dependent and complete remaining time to finish 5years to get her ILR

or

Can she apply for ILR dependent after her current Tier 2 dependent VISA expires, which is in 2020?
