Switch from Tier 2 general migrant to ILR dependant

Post by rs28 » Tue Jun 19, 2018 3:35 pm

Hi,

I work in the UK on a Tier 2 general migrant Visa. My husband has an ILR (5 year route). I now wish to switch my visa to become my husband's dependent. Can you please clarify a couple of questions.

1. Am I right to understand that I need to apply for FLR (M)?
2. Does this mean my clock under Tier 2 will reset and I will need 2x2.5 year FLR(M) visa?
3. What are the English level requirements? A1 or A2?
4. How long does the application typically take, if I apply online in the UK?
5. Can I work full time will a FLR(M) visa?
6. As financial requirement, we need to submit 6 month bank statements and also pay slips- are online statements and payslips acceptable or these need to be stamped by the bank (for statements) and employer (for payslips)?

Appreciate your guidance.

Assuming you are not a PBS Dependent but hold your own Tier 2 General sponsored visa, can you confirm please.

1. Yes.

2. Yes, it will reset to zero and a new 5 year route to ILR (2 x 2.5 year visas).

3. A1 for first FLR(M).

4. Up to 8 weeks by post.

5. Yes

6. No they are not. Payslips must be stamped or verified by letter. Banks statements must be original or if online, stamped by the bank.
