New changes for doctors and its effective from

Post by vikascse » Tue Jun 26, 2018 11:17 am

Can any one suggest, whether the impact of new changes will be from the Committee meeting on 11 July or from further next months.

Would NHS just hand out the CoS (Unrestricted, I suppose) next month to all the doctors and nurses at one go? Would they even have that many to give? Aren’t unrestricted CoSs also applied for annually? I don’t think the hospitals knew they’d need so many unrestricted CoS.
Even after the relief of being removed from the cap, the uncertainty doesn’t go. :(

Doctors/nurses won’t be getting unrestricted cos. They’re going through a different system/visa category.

Could you please tell me from where you got to know about this different visa category?
I read online that unrestricted CoS will be given.

It is not a 'different' visa category. It is still a Tier 2 General with a Restricted CoS for applications outside the UK but they are not going to be included in the monthly cap.

Unrestricted CoS is for applications made within the UK.

How and when will we get to know about our RCOS then? 11th of next month like the previous months?

11th is the date of the meeting for the new month allocations. June results have not been posted yet. Speak to your sponsor if you are a waiting in the June cycle.

“The changes will mean that health sector employers will be able to sponsor doctors and nurses without requiring restricted Tier 2 certificates of sponsorship”

The explanatory memorandum on the govuk website says this.
So RCOS will not be needed from next month for NHS applications?
