Hello what if I will send my form for a British citizenship by myself by next day delivery. Does it mean the date of recieved is the day after I have sent it or recieved date is the date they opened my letter and started working on it. I want to send my aplication on 3.7.18 but 5 years ago I was away from 6.7.13 so there is only 3 days to recieve a letter otherwaise my application will fail as I was away 5 years ago from recieved letter by them. Any idea anyone please.

If you apply by post, date of application is the date that HO receives it.

You mention NCS in the subject line (but not in your post). Are you planning to send the application via NCS? If so, it's the day of the NCS appointment.

Subject was from the op tagging onto a 2015 topic. Heading corrected now.

It is the Date when UKVI received your documents, I recommend you send documents by special delivery or at least tracked registered service so you can track your parcel.
