British citizenship query

Post by Roy11 » Thu Jul 05, 2018 12:49 pm

I have completed my 6 years residency on EU passport and have a PR card .
I will submit my application online and use NCS via council who will take copies of passport and give me originals.
After submitting application do I need to be present in the U.K. ?
I intend to travel Asia for 3 to 4 months ... will it be a problem?
Thanks in advance for advice.

No you do not have to be present once you have submitted your documents.

However, you need to be in the UK to enroll your biometrics and if HO writes to you to request any further information or original documents.

If you are approved while you are away, you also have to book your ceremony within 21 days from date of letter and attend the ceremony within 90 days from date of approval.
