EEA Family Member Visa Expiring: PR or ILR?

Post by Gabriella_W » Thu Jul 12, 2018 7:56 pm

Hello,

I thank you in advance for your help. I have an EEA Family member visa (5 years as a spouse of an EEA Citizen) expiring next month. I looked on the website and I saw only two cases for visa extension: Permanent Resident Card (the scheme should start in March 2019), and Indefinite Leave to Remain for spouse of British Citizens or people settled in the UK. I could not find any requirement or form related to ILR for people holding an EEA Family member expiring before March 2019.
My questions are: which route should be applied to me (PR Card or ILR)? Since the documents to submit are different, which one should I submit? I would grateful if you could provide a link or any other indication or article that could help. Also I would like to know if I should apply with my husband (in case of PR because he qualifies, but has not applied for it yet) or should I make an application alone (ILR) with some evidence of our relationship and his work here the UK.
Thank you very much,

Regard,
Gaby W.

You apply for PR, not ILR which is under the UK immigration rules and not applicable to you.

Char (CR001 not Casa)
