ILR/FLR M Long absents

Post by tier1ilr2013 » Fri Jul 13, 2018 10:44 am

Hi,

My wife came to UK on Tier1 dependent visa on Jan 2013
1st extension FLR M Jun 2013
2st extension FLR M Feb 2016

Due to some personal reasons we had to go back to India in May 2016 and came back to UK Jun 2018.

Q1 -Just wondering she has completed 5+ years in UK can she apply for ILR or we need to go for FLR M again.

If we apply for FLR M, since we were out of UK for more then 2 years we dont have any bills but have banks accounts.

Q2 - we have 2 bank in my wife name and 2 bank account in my name will be ok to show as proof of correspondence addressed.

Q3 - what else proof can we show for correspondence addressed?

Thanks in advance.

For either ILR or FLR(M), you need to provide evidence of employment and meeting the financial requirements.

More than a 2 year absence of both applicant and sponsor, might be an issue for ILR.

Thanks CR001 for quick response.

I have saving £20K+ for more then 6 months and i will use this for the financial requirements.

If we apply for FLR-M, the only problem is with correspondence items.
we have bank statements but wondering what else can be show apart from bills.

Thanks

You will have a problem if you do not have evidence of cohabitation for the last two years, as detailed with examples on page 63/64 of the FLR(M) form.

I am also not sure if £20k savings is sufficient. Wait for others to advise.
