ILR Advice : Degree IN English

Post by sachin2823 » Sun Jul 15, 2018 9:53 pm

Hello,

I am on Tier 2 General Visa and I am due to apply for ILR in November this year. My engineering degree was taught in English from PTU India. Do I need evidence to prove that My degree was taught in English ? If Yes then what do I need to do ?

Appreciate your help as always !!!

Thanks,

Sachin

If your degree isn’t from a UK university, you’ll need your original degree certificate and one of the following:

•an original letter or certificate from UK NARIC confirming the equivalent level of your degree, plus an official letter from your university with your name and degree confirming that your degree was taught in English
•an original and official certificate from your university confirming the degree was taught or researched in a majority English-speaking country (except Canada)

Thanks a lot for quick response .

I was going through Set (o) form and found the below :

• an academic qualification deemed by UK NARIC to meet the
recognised standard of a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree or
PhD in the United Kingdom and:

˗ UK NARIC has confirmed that the qualification was
taught or researched in English to the appropriate level
or
˗ the qualification was taught or researched in the UK
or a majority English speaking country (other than
Canada)

If I meet the first criteria there's a check box and if i tick that ( Once I got it approved from NARIC) does that mean I still need a official letter from my Uni in India.

Thanks in Advance !!!

Sachin

Did you miss the AND highlighted above (it is not an OR). You need the comparable assessment AND evidence or ELA that it meets the English requirement.
