APPLYING IN A COUNTRY THAT IS NOT THE UK OR HOME COUNTRY

Hi,

Hoping someone can assist.

is it possible to make an application and attend the biometric appointment in a country that is not the UK or my "home" country.

Example: I am currently in the UK as a PBS dependant looking to apply for Tier 2 General visa as my current employer is willing to sponsor. I am South African. Do I have to apply from South Africa or can I apply from a non-UK country such as Ireland or somewhere closer in than SA like the EU. Hoping to cut down travel costs.

You have to apply and submit in a country where you have legal residence, i.e. NOT a visitor and you would be a visitor in Ireland.

You need to return to SA to apply.
