Hello,
Does anyone know if you apply for ILR online and proceed to booking and payment, can you then go back and change your application between the day of payment and day of appointment?
Not that I have managed to book an appointment as it just says there are none for the next 45 days in every single location. But on the off chance I can book one I want to be sure I can still edit the application after I book.
Appreciate any help!

No, once you submit online you cannot go back to edit. You would need to make amendments by hand on the form you print after submission.

Thank you. Do they accept the amended by hand version? Or will this cause problems?

They do but obviously minor amendments and not a redo of the whole form.
If you are not sure about the online form, then you should book your appointment on its own and complete the paper form instead.

I'm comfortable with the form and I've already completed it, but I have an upcoming holiday that I can't enter as part of my out of the UK time because it doesn't allow you to enter future dates. So would need to add that post booking/paying. Would be unfortunate if I have to redo it all on the paper form but that might be the best option.
Thanks for your help

A simple covering letter would likely suffice explaining the additional absence.

Quick follow up: I just did a quick comparison of the online vs the paper form and they seem to differ slightly.
E.g. Online asks for any previous countries you have lived in and for how long and paper doesn't. Paper asks details about how much you pay for your mortgage whereas online doesn't...
I realise the online form says it's in Beta. Is there any reason to be concerned that the online form will be rejected once I have an appointment because of the difference in questions?

No there is no reason it should. Many have used it and applied successfully. Both forms are after all issued by HO
