Dependent Tier 2 General extension visa funds maintenance req - URGENT

Hi experts,

I am in the UK and have main Tier 2 general visa valid until April 2021. My family is still on previously issued Tier 2 dependent visas which expire on 07th Oct 2018

I need to apply Tier 2 general extension for my family (my wife and 2 kids) but I just realised my bank balance accidentally gone down below £1890 (£630*3 = £1890)

I cannot show funds maintenance for 3 months now

Please let me know if I can provide a maintenance letter from my "A" rated sponsor for their extension applications made within UK?

I read somewhere in this forum that maintenance letter will only be accepted when you apply outside UK?

Please share your thoughts on this. Thanks

Where did you read that?
If you have an A rated sponsor they can provide a letter that will ensure maintenance of funds for you and your dependants.

When I applied for my wife, I just got a letter from my sponsor stating that they will ensure maintenance. I only attached that letter and no bank statement.

Thanks for your response and sharing your experience. I now got more confidence to apply with letter by my sponsor.
