Tier 2 expiring 3 weeks before ILR

Hi!

I changed employers during my Tier 2, which caused a short gap in the 5 years timing
I will be qualified for ILR on 17.8.2019, but my Tier2 visa will expire 30.7.2019

Will I need to extend my Tier 2? or is this time ok to apply for the ILR?

You can apply for ILR within 28 days before reaching 5 years residence, counted from the date your initial visa was granted.

Tier 2 first employer- 17.8.2012 (originally until 17.8.2015)
Tier 2 new employer- granted 30.6.2015, expiry 30.7.2019

Why did you not apply for ILR last year when you reached 5 years residence??

Also, are you sure about your dates??? You cannot hold Tier 2 General for more than 6 years. Your dates indicate almost 7 years!

Sorry! Started in 2014, not 2012
I was on Tier 4 2012-2014
