Tier 2 General from Tier 2 Intra company Transfer Visa

Dear Team,

Presently, i have a Tier 2 intra company transfer Visa and my wife is with me in UK with a Tier 2 dependant Visa. She is planning pursue her Master degree here in UK. So she has to switch into Tier 4 Student Visa anyway. i checked in GOV.UK portal it had mentioned that dependant of Tier 4 Student can apply for Tier 2 General Visa. So whether i would be eligible for applying Tier 2 General Visa ?

I came here by May 2018.

You would only be eligible 12 months after you have held a tier 4 dependent visa.

Thanks CR001 for the reply. Whether my understanding is correct, so first I should get changed by visa from Tier 2 ICT to Tier 4 dependant Visa and after 12 months, I can shift to Tier 2 general of everything goes good!!

Yes, provided you meet the requirements and have a sponsor.

As the rules stand now, you would be able to switch to tier 2 general within the UK.
