ILR bank statements/maintenance question

Hi all

I am currently on a Tier 2 (general) visa and will be applying for ILR in a few months.
I apologise if this has been asked before but I wanted to check in any case. While I know that you need to provide bank statements with your application, do you have to show any particular amount as a maintenance fund for a certain period of time? Or is it just that the bank statements are provided to show proof that your salary is being paid into your account, and to corroborate the amount with your pay slip?

The guidelines for this are so straightforward for a Tier 2 visa and they seem a bit vague for ILR!
