Date of online Application Vs Date of Pemium Service appointment

Post by ovarkent » Thu Aug 02, 2018 9:44 am

Hi All,
Please, I will need your urgent help with regards to my ILR application.
I came into the country 28/09/2008 as a student and will be applying for my ILR as I will be 10yrs by 28/09/2018 ( Currently on a renewed tier 2 Visa that will expire in 2020).
Questions:
1. Is it ok that I have started my online application and booked 8th September for my premium service appointment?
2. If not ok, how do I remedy the situation?

Thanks for your anticipated help.

Just realized a mistake (Incorrect salary amount) on the form I submitted. How do I solve this? Can I cancel my application without losing my application fee so that I can put in a new application?

If you cancel, you lose the fee.

Simple correct by hand on the print out of the application.

Thanks for your response.
So to be clear,
1. It is wrong that I have made the application and picked 8th September for my appointment?
2. It is not a major problem to put the right figure on the printout and inform them on the day of the appointment?
Thanks again for your help.

Thanks, guys for your help on this forum.
I was finally granted my ILR last week.
A few observations:
1. It is correct that the date of PS appointment is your actual application date and not when you submitted the application online.
2. For any minor mistake made on the online form, changing the application will result in loss of application fee hence CR001 advice is very correct in this circumstance( On your print-out form, just cross out the wrong information and manually write in the correct one.

I hope this helps.

Hi All,
Please, I need help on what to do for my wife who is currently on Tier 1 Visa(Dependant) to expire in 2020.
She is due for her ILR(10Yrs) in October 2019. Can she continue to stay on her Tier 1 Visa(Dependant) despite the fact that I have currently been granted ILR?

Regards

The process was smooth. Took about 1 hr. The PSC was Sheffield and on a Saturday.
1. Go through security
2. Submit your application at the reception. You will be asked to provide key documents: Application form, Passport, Biometric card
3. you will be asked to provide all the supporting documents you came with including photocopy.
4. The reception will register your case and assign it to a case worker. Before this, you would have been told to go back to your seat and wait for instruction on when to go for your biometric capture. Within 5mins I was called for my biometric capture and was told to come back within 1 hr as the caseworker will review my application and get back to me.
5. Eventually, it took about 45mins before I was called by the caseworker with good news. At that point, I was handed all my documents with the duplicates except the biometric card.

I hope this helps.

Should be fine provided she has no plans to travel outside the UK.

Is she on a Tier 1 or Tier 2 dependent visa??

Hi there,

Did they tell you specifically that the date of application is the date you appear at the PSC or did they just ignore the fact that your online application was submitted more than 28 days before?

Thanks very much
Sultana
