I don't normally get paper statements and have my test in 2 days. If I go to the bank and ask them to print out my latest statement which bears the line "This statement was printed out at X branch" will that be sufficient. I don't believe most branches of my bank stamp statements printed out in the branch anymore.

Do you have other documents listed that could be used for proof of address?

On the government website it does state the bank statements need to be stamped but i understand that not all branches do this and nowadays In branch statements should be acceptable. You could try and show them the government website and ask them if they could be stamped they may make an acception.

I am a bit confused about what the requirements are for the English Language requirement are. I have a PhD degree from the States -- apart from the degree certificate, do I also need something from NARIC?

I have a bachelors degree from India and an postgraduate degree from the USA. I opted for the NARIC red route, and uploaded all the necessary documents for the advanced degree, but missing the medium of instruction certificate for the undergraduate degree. My understanding now is that the advanced degree comparability is sufficient for my application since it was awarded in a majority english speaking country. Can someone confirm this -- i.e. I can just take my degree certificate from the US university + NARIC statement of comparability for the ILR interview?

I keep messaging NARIC about this and but they keep trying to avoid answering my question and delaying the process -- it is so frustrating having paid so much money for the red route and guaranteed 10 day turn around and not getting fast responses from them.

If you are not a born US citizen, you need comparable assessment and ELA as far as I understand, even if the degree is from an English speaking country (other than the UK).

Thanks, But I am looking at the KoLL document (https://assets.publishing.service.gov.u ... 0.0ext.pdf) which I believe is the latest one. It says

"Majority English-speaking countries

If the applicant has a degree that was taught or researched in a majority English-speaking country(excluding Canada) they must provide:
•their degree certificate
•an Academic Qualification Level Statement (AQUALS) from UK NARIC confirming the qualification is equivalent to a UK qualification
"

-- it doesn't say anything about the applicant being from a majority english speaking country.

Also, further down it says
" However, you do not need to see additional confirmation from NARIC where the:
•Home Office have previously accepted a degree qualification as meeting the requirements for an earlier application, and leave was granted
•degree was awarded by a UK university"

I did use the points-based system for my initial Tier-2 General application and was awarded points for English language, but I am not sure how to prove this to the home office since I don't have this document anywhere.

Hello, I have my premium appointment booked for beginning of August. Is there any restriction on the date the letter is issued by the employer. Can I ask them to issue one now and use it then (or) does it have to be dated closer to my appointment date?

There is no specific guidelines about when the letter should be dated.

But it is recommended to get the letter within 30 days of your appointment date.

Hello, I am applying for IRL after completing 5 years in the Tier-2 General route. I am a bit confused about whether I need to fill Section 5.8 and 5.9 in form Set O. I took a four month maternity leave 3 years ago -- don't remember whether my pay was below the current threshold at that time but my currently salary is above the threshold -- safe to ignore that question?

Also, my maternity leave was taken in the UK, so is it correct that I don't need to mention it in my absence letter from the HR?
