citizenship by double descent

I have just hired xxxxxxx to submit my UK citizenship application. xxxxxxx consider I am now eligible by double descent, since my grandparents were born in the UK and my mother was a British citizen born overseas. My father was Brazilian and so am I. I was born in 1968, so the new Supreme Court decision referring to citizenship by double descent through the maternal line affects me directly. SO EVERYTHING'S FINE, EXCEPT FOR MY ANXIETY - AND THE FACT THAT I HAVE 3 BRAZILIAN CHILDREN WHO I WILL NEVER LEAVE BEHIND. SO THEIR FUTURE APPLICATION WILL HAVE TO BE SUCCESSFUL TOO. Cannot sleep haha. Just wanted some reassurance...

Also, children born before the date of your registration certificate are not affected by your acquisition of British citizenship anyway.

How old are the children?

You have a few options.
a) If the children are under the age of 15, move to the UK with the children and the other parent (unless you have sole responsibility). The children will have the same UK Immigratin status as that of the other parent. After living with you in the UK for three years, the children can be registered as British citizens (before they reach the age of 18).
b) If the children are under the age of 21, move to a non-UK EEA member-state (such as Portugal) with your children. They will then be able to reside in that EEA member-state and acquire citizenship there, in line with the rules there.

Thank you for your comments. I was advised that yes, they are entitled to apply after 3 years in the UK, if after that time they are under 18. My twins fall into this category, since they are 13. My daughter is 15 and will be older than 18 when she applies, and she can only do so after 5 years in the UK, through naturalisation.
