I am consufed which british citizenship form for my new born

Post by longresidence » Mon Aug 06, 2018 8:54 am

Hi Guys,

I really need big favour from you. My wife and I are holding ILR status in the UK. I have new born baby now and I am fully confused which form to fill the british citizenship and passport as there are many related apply for british citizenship online on GOV.UK site..

Someone said I can apply straight british citizenship without naturalisation and fee is £49 and others say I need to apply naturalisation and citizenship passport and fee is £1000+

Could experts please guide me which one is exactly and if you can send me the right link from the GOV.UK site then that would be much helpful

And also DO I need to go to council to apply or apply straight on GOV.UK site itself

Please let me know the clear steps and the documents are needed for this british citizenship??

Appreciate your help and many thanks in advance

Regards,
Longresidence

If your baby was born in the UK AFTER you got ILR, then the child is automatically British and can apply for a British passport directly.
