0 hour contract

Hi i am about to start a job with a permanent 0 hour contract in royal mail in sha allah, im confident that my earnings will go beyond the 18600 requirement but i want ro know for sure if my paperwork for my.will be accepted with a 0 hour contract or will i be wasting my time with this job as the application may get declined

Someone please help me with this

Is this for sponsoring a spouse? It is unlikely to be adequate as part of the condition of the visa is proving the income will continue at the same level. Inherently, zero hour contracts cannot do this.

If your income meet the financial threshold then zero hour contract should be fine. HO accepts all fixed/temporary jobs as long as the required threshold is being met.

Seagul, I've gone back to have a read and I think you're correct and my previous answer was wrong... but I'm not quite sure now. I was thinking that anything above 0 hours would be treated as 'overtime' but that is probably ridiculous. I will leave it to my more knowledgeable colleagues to sort out...
