Tier 2 general to ILR query

Hi experts

I am on Tier 2 general visa.

I have a question whether I need any documents from my previous sponsor for ILR application? I have no communication with my previous company where I worked for 1.7 years and I won't receive any help/ documents from them.

Does this cause any problem for my ILR application in future? Just passport stamps and flight tickets are enough to prove absences? Please advice.

You only need absence letter.

What if they don't respond to my request?

Yes your previous employer

If you are unable to get it, write a letter explaining and list your absence and submit with your application.
