seeking settlement after overstaying for 12years

Post by ACE25 » Fri Aug 10, 2018 12:23 am

pls I need advice on how to go about my case.
I came in 12years ago with a visiting visa and had overstayed since then plus my ex joined me 2years after. She has piles of medical records for fibroyd over the years still receiving treatment though no longer together.
However, we filled in an applicatoin together in for stay in 2013 but was refused on the ground that we were not qualified for consideration. An application for appeal was filed and granted enumerating various grounds for consideration i.e marriage to eea, child link, my activities in the uk over the years. But i could not come up with documents to support any claim before the deadline was over even though my local MP wrote the home office on my behalf and was again turn down.
I have over the years become a chef and currently self-studying on IT security. I do assist voluntarily in the foodbank around my area. i dont know if it help.
pls what chances do i have and how can i go about it..
NB
can my cousin with brititsh Psp be useful under the extended family member claus be of any help?
thanks.

What are you applying for?

Are you married to an EU citizen?? If yes, when did you get married and what does your partner do in the UK?

No, your British family cannot sponsor or help you to legalise your stay.

Voluntary work will establish your private life and links here.

As the admin asked, do you have a child that you take care of?

Any self study/ability to speak English will be in your favour, UKVI will twist this to say nothing stopping you from leaving the country and seeking employment there as you are educated now, or have a route back legally (with dreaded 320(11) into play)

If you fulfil the partner route and/or spousal requirements and finances, you have to really think what are the obstacles that make life incredibly hard and unreasonable for you to return to your home country and to apply from there?

Husband's timeline - overstayer 11 yrs
08/16 - FLR (FP) Partner, refused 02/18, 03/18 - JR permission refused with merit
08/18 - FLR FP (Partner) PSC - Approved
07/20 - FLR FP to FLR M Switch - Approved, 03/23 FLR M Ext Approved.
