PBS Dependent Query

Hello Everyone,

I have a question regarding PBS dependent visa. I was on Tier 2 visa and I finished my 5 year period and have been approved for ILR.

But my wife, she is still on PBS Dependent visa as she hasn't completed here 5 year period and still has 2 years remaining. Unfortunately here current PBS Dependent visa is due to expire next year so therefore I will have to renew this visa.

Previously, when I extended her visa, I did it as part of my visa application as a dependent. As this time, I will be extending just her's, I cannot find which visa application I should make. In Family visa categories, I can find FLR (M) visa, is this the one I need to apply? Will this not change her visa category and hence her 5 year qualifying period will start again? On the same link, I can see the guidance notes for PBS Dependents but I cannot find any specific form for this route. Can you please advise?

She applies for a tier 2 dependent visa to extend until she meets the requirements for ILR.

Does that mean my wife do not have to do IELTS again to get points for English Language? In Tier 2 guidance notes, it says you get 10 points if you have qualified for this before.

Same as for Maintenance. Do I have to show the bank statement again?

PBS dependents DO NOT have to meet the English requirement. The 10 points is ONLY relevant to the main tier 2 visa holder!!

Yes you have to show 90 days maintenace funds of £630 per dependent.
