FLR(FP) 10 year route to 5 year route

Please could some advice me on what to do, I was previously and overstayer, I applied for flr 10yrs route on basis of British partner and British child, I was granted 2.5yrs through partner route on 07/07/2017 , my question is since I'm legal now would I be able to go through the 5 yr route as wife to British citizens and after apply for ilr instead of waiting 10yrs to be qualified for Ilr. If you meet the requirements (English and £18,600 financial evidence), then you can apply for FLR(M) 5 year route, but you start your 5 years again from zero if approved.
