Application form for Tier 2 change of employment

Hi

I am currently living in UK under a tier 2 visa and will be switching to a new job( hospital pharmacist) and when I was checking things on the gov website I saw this :

From 6 April 2017, all Tier 2 (General) visa applicants who want to work in specified health, education or social care sectors must provide a criminal record certificate.

But then I also saw this:

This will not apply if you are making an application for an extension of stay in the UK.

So when I am applying for a new T2 visa within UK to stay, does that count as extension of stay which means I won't need to provide a CRC?

Hi there

I am looking up details on T2 change of employment application but couldn't find any links/application form on the government website. So I want to ask does it fall under ''applying for a new visa '' or ''extending current visa'' ? Because when I tried to apply for a new visa it doesn't allow me to apply within UK, so I am a bit confused here and would be grateful if someone could provide me some guide

Hi,

I just got my application approved today as a hospital pharmacist so thinking I may be helpful. For criminal record, I did not submit one because it is only applied to those applying for Tier 2 Entry Clearance not Leave to Remain. I did include my DBS form though just for the sake of easing my mind. The hospital must ask for a DBS certificate anyway so may as well submit it. Which hospital are you working for if you don't mind me asking.
For the application form, I don't remember exactly what I chose but I just typed in Tier 2 leave to remain within the UK on google and the link will automatically comes up. There is no change of employment application.

Hey Tran thanks for clearing my doubt, I will be working in west suffolk hospital, and yes they will conduct a DBS check as well

Just one more question, if we are applying for a new T2 visa is priority service the only way to go? Since the normal online application service doesn't allow you to apply within the UK...And even we can go for the standard route isn't that gonna take too long(2 months) compared to 10 days with priority service

Thanks for the reply...I am just a bit confused with the wordings. Am I suppose to go for the extend visa option when I switch employer? Because according to what the website says extending visa only works if you stay with current employer
