Citizenship - apply as a spouse

Hi there,

My Barbadian wife lives in the UK but I currently work and live abroad.

In 10 months she will be in a position to apply for ILR on the bases that she has been on a tier 2 for 5 years OR continuous residence for 10 years.

Despite not being on a spouse visa, does anyone know if she would be able to apply for citizenship immediately after obtaining ILR on the basis that she is the wife of a British Citizen or would she have to wait a year?

Yes she would be able to apply for citizenship immediately provided she meets the requirements.
