SET O Question 5.2 query

Post by harps9191 » Tue Jul 31, 2018 6:02 pm

Hi,

I am just filling the SET O form and not sure about question 5.2.

5.2 Do you or your partner, or both, pay any rent or mortgage for your home?

I am applying for ILR on basis of 5 years on Tier 2, on my own, no dependants.

I moved in with my girlfriend last year. She owns the house and pays the mortgage and the bills. Shes a British citizen.

For 5.1 i have selected 'Owned or rented by a relative or friend'

Do i answer NO for 5.2? just confused by the partner bit.

Thanks,
Harpreet

I moved in with my girlfriend last year. She owns the house and pays the mortgage and the bills -> she is a keeper

I am no expert but the statement is clear (owned by a friend....)

It is NOT a trick question. Simply answer yes if your partner pays. The question does say 'you OR your partner OR both...'!!

Thanks CR001,

i just read in another thread that payslips need to be signed? is it only required if you print them yourself?
Mine are original copies. Do i need to get them signed?

It is online portal payslips that you print out yourself that have to be signed.

Original copies, now there's an oxymoron :)

As long as these payslips are 'original' (the ones you tear open), you're ok. If these are from an online e-portal, you'll need to have them printed on employer letterhead and signed by HR/Line Manager.
