Spouse visa help

Post by Bobthebest » Wed Aug 22, 2018 3:59 pm

Hello, my wife is doing a spouse visa to move from Ghana to UK.
My financial income is £16.313 pa
My last 6 months including my overtime amounts to £9,800
My last 2 p60 was very low due to being off work sick for several months.
How do I put that I meet the financial requirement on the vaf4a appendix 2 form as it asks for last 12 months and that is not good for me? Do I use part 5 to explain?
Thank you for any replys.

Does your mean that your basic pay is £16313 but you do overtime on top of it which enable you to earn £9800 during the last 6 months for meeting the financial requirement?

Donot attach P60.

Yes that is correct, how should I put this on the form?

If you are working for your present employer from at least 6 months then in this case you will have to calculate your overtime by using the non-salaried route by the following formula then add it back to your annual basic wages to get the actual total of your annual income.
total of your last 6 months overtime/6*12=?

On your employer letter preferably you request your employer to write about your overtime as well along your annual basic wages.

Ok so on question
3.11 what is sponsors annual income from this employment before tax?

I should write the total of my basic pay plus overtime last 6 months x 2?
Which is 16,313 plus 3,000 = 19,313

But I'm starting shifts next week and won't have any payslips showing that evidence, but should I add it if, confirmed on my employer letter that I have started shift pattern?
It's an extra £2,000

And question 3.20 income last 12 months

I should leave it blank?

Thanks

yes but take the average of last 6 months overtime by using non-salaried person method as mentioned above.

there is no legal activity where evidence in the form of payslips is not given. Better do not rely on it if you are meeting financial threshold with your employment as above.

In my opinion question 3.20 does not apply on you since you are with your present employer form last 6 months.

Ok thanks and 1 more question please

I have been with my employer for many years
My 2015/2016 p60 was £20,000
As I said, my previous 2 p60s were less than half this amount. Is it worth showing these and just show some of my company doctor letters etc showing I reduced my hours and was on sick pay etc and explain in my supporting letter?
my last 6 months show I can meet the requirements when I'm at work.
What is the best way to go about this?

Don't attach P60 and do not show doctor letters when you can easily meet the financial requirement from your last 6 months work. simply attach 6 months payslips with bank statements and the employer letter.
